National Marketing Council
The National Marketing Council, LLC (NationalMarketingCouncil.com) is a sort of trade group for the Marketing Industry. I started it with a focus towards Internet Marketing but quickly expanded into all forms of marketing.
The original idea was to create a place for Marketing professionals to come together, discuss the industry, update skills via online learning opportunities (seminars, ezines, ebooks, etc) and network amongst themselves in a central online environment.
It has since grown into an offline organization with regional directors responsible for holding local events across the country via the meetup.com ecosystem.
We’re also starting to put together an annual scholarship fund for marketing students in community colleges to either help with current tuition or help them to transfer into a four your school to major in marketing.
Membership is not free, but costs a nominal yearly fee that’s much less expensive compared to other professional organizations in other fields.
