Link Wizard Pro FFA Submission Software
When I built the Submission-Spider software, I needed an Upsell so that when someone was checking out with their Spider software order, I could say “Wait, if you add this other software to your order, I’ll knock 80% off it’s price!”.
People love last second discounted offers. It worked great; I’d convert upwards of 30% of all orders to the Linkwizard Pro upsale!
Basically Link Wizard Pro (LinkwizardPro.com) was an FFA link page submission tool for Windows, written in Visual Basic. Remember FFA Link pages? They were essentially link farms that allowed you to submit a link to your site to a huge list of other links.
Back before Google was very sophisticated, they relied almost solely on links to rank pages so blasting your site out to FFA (free for all) link pages was a good way to boost traffic. And oddly enough, for whatever reason, the FFA link pages generated traffic on their own too.
Why? Because after people submitted their sites, they’d go to the FFA link page to make sure their link was listed..and inevitably see a link to something else that would peak their interest, and they’d click on it.
FFA link pages didn’t last very long, only a few years. Then Google started ignoring them so people stopped submitting their sites to them.
The Software…
Basically I figured out a way for my software to thread submissions in such a way that it allowed you to submit your site to something like 20,000+ FFA link pages in moments. So that’s what the software did.
I priced it at $99 at LinkWizardPro.com but offered SUBSTANTIAL discounts at checkout when people purchased the submission-spider.
I also used it as a freebie sometimes for people who had downloaded the free trial of the Submission-Spider but hadn’t purchased it after the trial expired. After a certain amount of time went by, I’d send them an autoresponder email offering a discount on the Submission-Spider itself as well as a free copy of LinkWizard Pro if they ordered within the next 24 hours or so.
It worked like gangbusters.
Of course, the search engine industry merged into basically Google and Bing/Yahoo making the Submission-Spider software redundant, and FFA link pages no longer worked their same magic on search engine results; so I no longer sell the software. But the website is still there for sentimental reasons.
I kind of like the name..Link Wizard Pro…maybe I’ll use it for something else some day.
